Shape how truck drivers will charge in the future

Trucks are less than 3% of all vehicles on EU roads, yet they burn half of all diesel and emit a large share of road CO₂. Electric trucks cut those emissions, but charging on the road is still hard: drivers struggle to find a charger that fits their truck and route.

FLYYT takes care of that and more. Our driver app plans the trip, reacts to traffic jams and other surprises, and reserves chargers in advance. Your work takes diesel off the road, one truck at a time.

Who we are

FLYYT is a young startup from Hamburg. We are a small, motivated team with different backgrounds. Everybody works hands-on, founders included. We decide quickly and move fast. Everyone leads and shapes where the company goes. The best idea wins, whoever it comes from.

What you will do

You work directly with our Product Manager and the founders on the product, from first idea to finished feature. You own real product questions and see your results in a live product.

  • Discover and conceptualise. You support product management in discovery and ideation: you understand the pain points and requirements of our customers (truck drivers, logistics companies) and create concepts to address them.
  • Master the ecosystem. FLYYT lives in a complex ecosystem with many partners: charge point operators, roaming hubs, payment providers, data providers and all the parties in between. You learn how this ecosystem works and how its parts are connected, and you identify potential for optimisation and automation.
  • Write functional specifications with user stories and acceptance criteria that our developers can build from.
  • Plan and prioritise. You keep the list of planned work up to date, plan releases and decide with the team what comes next.
  • Test and follow up. You check new features and releases, and document and track the bugs you find.
  • Shape the experience. You sketch screens and user flows (e.g. in Figma) and evaluate user feedback after release.

Startups change quickly, so your tasks and responsibilities might change over time. We'll shape this together, depending on current priorities and on your experience and interests.

What we offer

  • Real responsibility: Your work goes into a live product, and you have a direct influence on how our users experience it.
  • Early stage: Join as one of our first employees. You shape not just the product, but how we work as a company.
  • Grow with the startup: We are building the team. Those who prove themselves can take on more responsibility as the company grows.
  • AI-native way of working: You get professional AI tools and learn how to use them in everyday product work. If a tool makes you faster, we will get it.
  • Flexibility: Flexible working hours, and working from home when it suits you.
  • Equipment: A MacBook and the tools you need.

What you bring

You do not need to meet every point below. We welcome applications from people who fit only part of this profile.

Must have

  • You have a degree in business, industrial engineering, computer science, design or a related field.
  • First experience in product management, for example from an internship, a working-student job, a startup or consulting.
  • You have a good technical understanding. You know what APIs are and how they work, and you are familiar with modelling methods such as UML and BPMN.
  • You think in user problems and workflows, not just in features.
  • You write clearly, structure complex topics in a way others can follow, and pay attention to detail.
  • You work independently, enjoy getting into new topics and drive things forward.
  • You are motivated to dive deep into the complex ecosystem of e-mobility, charging, logistics and e-trucks.
  • Fluent English and German.

Nice to have

  • Experience in e-mobility, charging, logistics or e-trucks.
  • Knowledge of OCPI, roaming or charging platforms.
  • Experience using AI tools as a matter of course to research, write and structure faster.
  • Experience with product and data analytics: You know how to turn data into insights, e.g. with simple dashboards or usage analytics, and which question to ask first.
  • A driver's licence, for real-life tests at charging stations nearby.

Our office

Our office is on the Isekai in Eppendorf, right on the Isebekkanal, and has a nice terrace. If you feel like it, you can come to work by SUP or kayak. We share the building with other small companies from the renewable energy sector, and once a week we go for a lunchtime run together (optional, of course).

We like working together on site. We have no fixed office days, but we'd like you to be around the office regularly.

  • your CV
  • a few sentences about yourself: What appeals to you about the role, and what do you bring?
